thanks shaivya, you don't need to check the authenticity and it's difficult to find out that who's handling the community actually. as a fan you shouldn't be thinking much of that, but as a market researcher, you definitely should !

thank you all for the valuable comments.

@honey, you really made my day with that comment :)

@shash, that's precisely what i meant; you put it up in one line. The success of any (online) marketing campaign depends solely on the content created, not by just flooding social sites with crap. What most marketing agencies are missing is the CONSUMER, if there is no one consuming the content they created, the effort goes all waste, all they get is money and spoil the reputation of the business, which is generating a negative perception in the "yet to be tapped" industry. You used the correct words "Clueless" and "Ignorant" is what the marketers were.
BTW there were a few other issues also; but i did not want to make a Ashutosh Gowarikar movie, which does not seem to end.
I just hope and pray the industry does not make conclusions and underestimate the potential based on these campaigns.

@ritika, the message reached a few people in the vicinity but I doubt it will the marketing agency who's done the crap, unless of course I myself tell them, which I don't wish to. Probably a couple of years experience under my belt, then, either the message would reach on its own or I will do it myself.

Really impressive research work Abhinav.
But i would like to point out that mostly marketing campaigns are a failure when the marketing guys dont go about their actions with proper planning or having a sense of what the market has to offer.
Flooding of all popular social networking websites could have been a good idea if they had the quality and quantity of content to support it.
I am also sure that they werent decided upon their target audience(Kids,Adults, teenagers, everyone whose up for laughs??Probably the last one.).Hence the kind of articles put up on blog. And i feel ,they may have even pissed off a few in the process with the kind of posts.

Lack of content updates imply they were clueless as to how they would go about carrying forward the interest of the audience.
Also pretty much they would have even been ignorant of what a typical fickle-minded average Indian user might expect.
